Alejandro was the first in his family to go to college. His dad asked him half-way through UCSB to leave to help out the family. Alejandro stayed and now is helping to make the world a better place (including helping his family).

Going away to college will not hurt your family. This UC Davis students says that initially her mother initially was opposed but now everything is much better. Her family didn't have to pay anything and she and her younger sisters are now much closer.
