As a result, an increasing number of schools are using demonstrated interest as a factor in the admissions process.We need to help high school juniors understand that, while demonstrated interest can be a significant factor in the admission process, they do not have to spend a ton of money to learn more about or even visit many colleges on their list.This spring, high school juniors can begin the process of getting to know colleges all around the country–and for little or no money.

Springtime is the ideal time of year for high school juniors and their families to visit colleges as they are still in session and you can see authentic college life. By doing an official visit, you also let the colleges know you are serious about the possibility of attending—this is so key for competitive colleges which now value demonstrated interest as a major component of the admissions process.
